Jocelyn Verhoeven
I was born and raised in BC and currently live in Surrey. I grew up with two brothers and enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball throughout my youth. Now, I enjoy volunteering at my local spin studio, paddle boarding with friends, and cooking new recipes with loved ones.
I graduated from Holy Cross Regional High School in Surrey, where I realised my passion for working with children. I went on to earn my certification as an Education Assistant at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, which led me to St Matthews Elementary School in Surrey where I worked for three years. During this time, I worked with children with a variety of diverse learning needs and diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Down Syndrome.
I will soon be completing the Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma Program at Capilano University, where I will receive qualification in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy assistance. From there, I strive to use my knowledge, passion,
and enthusiastic nature to continue to help children grow and succeed.
