Jocelyn Verhoeven
I was born and raised in White Rock, BC, where I graduated from Holy Cross Regional High School. I realized my interest in working alongside children and adults with diverse learning needs at a young age, and found passion in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), Autism spectrum disorder (ASD), as well as other neurological and developmental delays impacting communication.
I am currently in the process of completing my Bachelor's degree, whereafter I plan to work towards a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology. During my education, I’ve also completed the Rehabilitation Assistant Program at Capilano University, where I received a diploma in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy assistance. Additionally, I am certified in Education Assistance through Kwantlen Polytechnic University, both of which I have found to be key building blocks in helping to shape my current practice.
Through it all - I strive to create a fun, affirming, and client-centered environment to support clients and families in reaching their therapeutic goals!
