Victoria Dalla Zanna

MS, RSLP, CCC-SLP

I grew up in the Tri-cities, dancing in Port Moody and playing soccer for the Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club. From there, I attended Biola University in La Mirada, California where I played collegiate soccer earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders. Following my time in the sun, I had many jobs including an Industrial Audiometric Technician at the Vancouver Police Department, a soccer coach for Poco Euro-Rite FC, and became a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA). My time as a SLPA confirmed my desire to become a speech-language pathologist and I was accepted into the master’s program at Minot State University (MSU) in North Dakota, which I graduated from in 2019. During my time there, I had the opportunity to focus on pediatric-centred intervention, present my research on Selective Mutism at the American Speech and Hearing Association National Conference in Boston, and intern at Doernbecher Children’s hospital in Portland Oregon focusing on feeding and swallowing disorders.

These days, I enjoy hiking, drawing, and spending time with my partner and two cats Gemma and Gerry.

As an SLP, I have gained experience in both school and home settings working with children ages 2-18 in areas of articulation and phonological disorders, autism spectrum disorder, selective mutism, language delay, fluency disorders, AAC, and have been trained as an SOS feeding therapist. I continue to stay up to date on current research to ensure an evidence-based approach for my therapy interventions. I believe that empowering the families to support their children is where success lies. I am enthusiastic therapist that is committed to making sessions fun, inclusive, and successful for the child and their family.
