Justine Cavaco

I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. Growing up, I enjoyed doing various activities such as swimming, skating, soccer, and gymnastics. I often spent my summers in Portugal, where I visited family, saw beautiful beaches, and traveled to breathtaking areas of the country. In my current free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, listening to music, and going for walks with my dog, Daisy!

In 2020, I received my high school diploma  from Notre Dame Regional Secondary School in Vancouver. During my time at Notre Dame, I often volunteered at St. Jude, a local elementary school in the area. While volunteering at St. Jude, I grew to enjoy working with children, ultimately helping and supporting them in any ways I could. During my third year of University, I went back to St. Jude's to volunteer with a Speech and Language Pathologist, where my passion for supporting children and their learning needs grew further!

I am currently in my 4th year of my undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia, studying Speech Sciences. Once I complete my Bachelor's degree, I plan on working to get a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology, and eventually becoming a Speech and Language Pathologist. I am excited to start my journey as a SLPA with Citadel, hoping to learn more ways in which I can assist children and help them thrive.
